| THE CLINTON COUNTY DEMOCRATIC PARTY NEWSLETTER -- Nov 6, 2004 Return to the Home Page |

| Even though the national final results were disappointing, we Democrats in Clinton County can be proud of the job we did. Thanks to the work of an army of several hundred workers in our County impressive victories were given to the Kerry/Edwards ticket, Sheriff Rick Lincoln, Senator Frank Wood and State Representative Tom Schueller. State Representative Polly Bukta, Supervisor Grant Wilke and Auditor Charlie Sheridan were returned to office. Clinton County delivered a large number of votes for Bill Gluba. Clinton County has become known as a Democratic County because of the hard work of many volunteers. Congratulations and thanks to everyone! | ||||||||
| THANKS TO THE OUT-OF-STATE VOLUNTEERS! Our work was a lot more effective because of the tremendous job done by out of State volunteers who took leave from school or their jobs to help us. We are appreciative to Nick Saponara from Younkers, New York, John Saponara and Alex Solomon from Manhatten and Kathy Adams from Boston. |

| OUR WORK IS NEVER DONE. As a political party in a democratic society we still have many things to do: | ||||||||
| Bring more young people into the process. Provide better education about responsibility in a democratic society. Establish Young Democrat clubs in our schools. Keep informed on issues. Promote the implementation of our Party platform. Write letters to Legislators, Congressmen and Senators promoting our beliefs. |
||||||||
| THE NEXT DEMOCRATIC CENTRAL COMMITTEE MEETING will be held Tuesday, November 16 at 7:30 P.M. Come and hear what is likely to happen in the next State Legislature. | ||||||||
| Send this email on to your Democrat friends. We depend upon you to be among the best-informed Democrats in the County. Help spread our news. | ||||||||
| NOTABLE QUOTATION: Knowing how easy it is to be attacked as heartless and unfeeling let me state a few facts about my own position. First of all I believe in our responsibility to help those who for whatever reason are unable to provide for themselves and their families. Right now I believe we could do more for the truly needy if we weren't spread so thin providing for the truly greedy. Ronald Reagan, April 1975, - from the book Reagan's Path to Victory. | ||||||||
