Meet Rick Dickinson.  The Democratic candidate for Congress will be meeting with Democrats this afternoon at 1:00 P.M. (Sunday, June 5) at Democratic Headquarters, 224   22nd Place, Clinton.  Please bring your thoughts, questions and concerns for a discussion of the issues facing our nation.  If you want to be heard effectively and be an influence, early in a campaign is the best time.

THANKS!   We greatly appreciate the help we received on decorating the Democratic Float for the parade Saturday.  Thanks, also, to the people who marched in the parade to show support for the values of the Democratic Party.

Democrats represent values of economic security, social justice, health care and equal educational opportunities that benefit all Americans, but we need to communicate these values more effectively.

WE'RE TRAINING WORKERS FOR THE COMING ELECTIONS

If we're to be successful in electing Democrats to State offices, the United States Congress, the Iowa Legislature and County offices, we need experienced workers.  You can help us be effective by attending the District workshop Saturday, June 18.  The First Congressional District (12 counties) workshop will be held at the NortheastIowaCommunity College campus in Peosta.  A copy of the brochure is on our website:

Saturday, June 11:  Governor Howard Dean will speak at The State Hall of Fame Dinner at the Five Seasons in Cedar   Rapids. Information concerning reservations are on our website.

Tuesday, June 21: The Clinton County Democratic Central Committee will meet at 7:30 P.M. at Democratic Headquarters.

Sunday, June 26:  Jackson County Democrats with whom we work closely will hold their annual steak fry at Kalmes Restaurant in
